Sharon received her metastatic breast cancer diagnosis in 2022. She advocates for equity in support and treatment for regional North Queensland. She speaks wherever she can about her disease to educate the community and healthcare professionals so they have a better understanding of metastatic breast cancer. She is dedicated to ensuring healthcare systems deliver appropriate care and services for people with metastatic breast cancer and advocating for access to appropriate face-to-face, peer support.
